Mr. Anar Akhundov, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company made a business trip to the Unite Sates of America in November 2006 aiming to attract foreign investments to the non-oil sector of the economy of Azerbaijan, along with providing foreign investors with information about the growing potential of the domestic economy and present investment climate.

The ceremony of presentation of the Azerbaijan Investment Company, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Additional Measures of Promotion of Investments” dated March 30, 2006 was held on November 14, 2006, in Baku, at the “Excelsior” Hotel with organizational support of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and technical support by the TACIS program.
