Azerbaijan-Vietnam Business forum was held in Baku within the framework of the official visit paid by Vietnam Socialist Republic Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Hoang Trung Hai.

Newly opened Baku Business Centre hosted Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum held within the framework of official visit of Slovak Republic Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Miroslav Lajčák on March, 15.

There was held a conference on the first anniversary of the 2009-2013 State Program on social-economic development of Azerbaijani regions on March 12.

In order to ensure iodized salt for the Azerbaijani population, a plant will be built in the Masazir settlement on the Absheron peninsula. Its commissioning is scheduled for the first half of 2010.

On January 21, agreement was signed by the Azerbaijan Investment Company (АIC) with foreign investors Marcin International (Virgin Islands) and MYBA Agro Projects (Israel) on setting up of joint venture AzAgroExport LLC.
