United Arab Emirates - Azerbaijan Business Forum was held on December 21, 2009 in Abu Dhabi within the second meeting of the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on economic, trade and technical cooperation. The event was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with support of Ministry of Economic Development of the republic of Azerbaijan and Embassy of Azerbaijan in UAE.

Besides state officials Azerbaijani delegation was represented by 31 leading companies form the whole spectrum of sectors as agriculture, construction, industry, ICT, finance and banking, energy and logistics sectors. UAE side was represented by more than 40 companies from the corresponding sectors as well as by state officials.

During the Business Forum presentations were made by Ministry of Economy of UAE on investment climate of UAE, by AZPROMO on business and investment oppurtunities in Azerbaijan and by Azerbaijan Investment Company on its activity.

Within the event bilateral meeting between Azerbaijani and UAE companies were held, the possibilities of extending business relations were discussed.

Apart from bilateral meetings on December 21 and 22 the Azerbaijani business delegation visited Abu Dhabi Industrial Zone, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
