"Azerbaijan Investment Company" OJSC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with "AzerShekar" LLC on the exploring joint investment opportunities in processing of malted barley for beer production in order to reduce dependence on imports and support local production. The parties agreed to explore the investment options and determine the direction for expansion of cooperation. The main goal of the project is to locally produce the raw materials for beer production by cultivating local brewery barley.

Note: The project will be implemented within the framework of cooperation between "Azershekar" LLC and the Carlsberg Azerbaijan brewery plant.
