With the support of the Azerbaijan Investment Company, the construction of a modern breeding egg production plant equipped with advanced technologies is underway in the Yevlakh Agropark. The project is being implemented within the partnership of the Moonwake investment company, which operates in Azerbaijan and internationally, LU-MUN investment company, which operates in the agricultural and food production sectors in the country, and Agri-Go, an Israel-based global integrator of agro-industrial projects. The facility, with an annual production capacity of 22 million eggs, aims to expand the country’s local production capabilities, reduce dependence on imports, and strengthen food security.
The plant will consist of three main zones. The first – a facility designated for housing pullets –has already been completed and is currently in use, accommodating pullets brought in during the initial phase. In February 2025, 62,000 pullets were delivered to the facility, and three of the five planned vaccination phases have already been successfully completed. The remaining two phases of vaccination are scheduled to take place in the coming months. Construction of the other two zones is ongoing, with completion expected in July and December 2025, accordingly.
Currently 56 employees are engaged in the plant. This number is expected to rise significantly once the facility becomes fully operational, creating new job opportunities in the region. This development holds substantial socio-economic significance for Yevlakh and the surrounding areas. At the same time, the project marks a major step forward in the application of technological innovations and sustainable practices within the agricultural sector.
This initiative contributes to the region’s economic growth, while also supporting the high-quality and sustainable production of agricultural goods. By relying on local resources, the project strengthens the resilience and competitiveness of the country’s agricultural industry.
