STATUS: ONGOING

Within the framework of an agreement signed between "Azerbaijan Investment Company" OJSC, Azershakar LLC, and Azersun Agriculture, a barley malt processing plant has been constructed in Imishli city, Azerbaijan. The project aims to reduce dependence on imports and support local production. The facility will have an annual production capacity of 10,500 tons.

The plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery supplied by Bühler GmbH, the renowned Swiss company. Laboratory tests conducted by the company confirmed that the malting barley cultivated by Azershakar LLC meets the industry’s quality standards.

This initiative represents a significant step toward boosting local production and advancing the country’s agricultural sector. The commissioning of the plant is also expected to create new job opportunities and stimulate economic development in the region.
